Appointment Preparation Sequence
- Make an Enquiry
The first step is to make an enquiry with us, either through our website or by phone. This allows us to understand your needs and begin the process. - Review Information & Price Guide
Once confirmed that Dr Watts performs the surgery you’re interested in, we will provide you with detailed information about the procedure, including a price guide to help you plan. - Submit Photos for Evaluation
To proceed, we will ask you to send us photos of the area you’re considering for surgery. These images will be reviewed by our surgical nurses to determine whether you meet the criteria for the procedure. - Confirmation
Once the evaluation is complete, we will contact you to confirm that you’re eligible for surgery and arrange your initial consultation. This consultation will be with our Nurse and Patient Care Coordinator, who will guide you through the next steps and provide you with the information you need for a successful journey. - Booking Forms
Once your initial consultation is booked, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to our new patient forms and a medical history questionnaire. We kindly ask that you complete these within a week of receiving them. The email will also include a link to the Cosmetic Readiness Questionnaire (CRQ), an evaluation tool used by cosmetic professionals to assess your mindset and readiness for the procedure. The CRQ helps identify any potential psychological concerns, such as body dysmorphic disorder, ensuring you are mentally prepared for treatment.
Please note that a GP referral is required to schedule your initial consultation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of your medical history for safer and more effective treatment planning.
Preparing for Your Initial Nurse/patient Coordinator Appointment:
- GP Referral: According to the new Australian healthcare regulations, as mandated by AHPRA, a valid referral from your GP or another qualified medical practitioner is mandatory before seeing Dr Guy Watts.
- Medical History: To help us provide the best care, please bring any relevant test results and details of past surgeries. This will assist Dr Guy Watts and his team in understanding your medical history and tailoring the consultation to your needs.
- Personal Notes: In addition to your medical information, it’s helpful to bring a list of your goals, questions, and any concerns you may have. This ensures we address everything important to you during your consultation and helps guide the discussion in the right direction for you to make well-informed decisions.
At the end of this consultation, you will be given a folder to take home, which summarises the key aspects of the discussion, including a breakdown of the surgical costs. Our Patient Care Coordinator will then send you an email offering available dates for a consultation with Dr Watts. The email will also include links to videos with further information about the proposed surgery, which we kindly ask you to watch before your consultation with Dr Watts.
