Chemical peels have been used for decades in the cosmetic industry and a string of innovations and changes continue to make these treatments a popular choice for men and women.
A chemical peel is a skin technique which is designed to remove the outer damaged layer of skin by dissolving dead skin cells and stimulating new cell regeneration, leaving you with soft smooth, more radiant looking skin. Chemical peels can provide light to moderate skin changes depending on the formulation used and individuals aesthetic requirements.
Light peels involve the superficial exfoliation of the epidermis and are effective for those wanting to reduce uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, mild acne scarring and freshen dull looking skin. These treatments require minimal downtime and can be repeated on a regular basis until desired results are achieved. Superficial peels are a fast and effective method to freshen up the skin whilst fitting in with your busy schedule!
Medium depth peels produce more dramatic results as they address a deeper layer of the skin (dermis) stimulating new collagen and elastin formation. These peels are designed to not only smooth skin texture and tone but also help alleviate those tell-tale signs of ageing such as fine to moderate lines and sun damage. Healing time is a little longer with a medium depth peel as the new skin regenerates. The effects however, are not only more noticeable but also longer lasting and therefore only need to be performed once to twice per year.
During your personalised consultation your skin type and concerns will be assessed and a customised peel regime to suit your needs formulated. Chemical peels may be performed alone or alongside other cosmetic treatments to optimise the results.
Our new generation of peels allow treatments to be individually tailored to skin type and age, rather than a standard acid peel, we can combine up to 50 different combinations of peels to ensure the right fit for your skin. Our exclusive peel range is a programme of chemical treatments designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to regenerate itself by making fresh new skin cells.
A course of four treatments over a four to six week period is advised to gain the full effect with each treatment taking around 45 minutes to complete.
