Dr Watts is not currently taking on new patients for the thigh lift procedure. To help you on your plastic surgery journey please see the information below.
Ageing, genetics and significant weight loss can result in excess sagging skin and fat that can be unsightly and uncomfortable. The thighs are often a major area of concern as this can affect the way your clothes fit, how you feel about yourself and even lead to chafing, irritation and skin rashes. A thigh lift can be performed to remove the loose skin and excess tissue to create a smoother, firmer and more defined upper leg contour.
• Remove excess skin and fat from the thigh area
• Lift, tighten and firm thighs
• Improve thigh shape and contour
A thigh lift is usually performed in conjunction with liposuction to help achieve a more sculpted result. When considering a formal thigh lift it is important to understand that the improvements in shape and contour are achieved with the addition of a scar. The scar will be located in the groin crease and may extend to a varying degree along the inner aspect of the thigh toward the knee. This scar may be visible depending on the type of clothing worn. During your postoperative phase Dr Watts and his team will guide you through their scar management protocol to speed healing and minimise scarring.
Dr Watts performs his thigh lift procedure on an inpatient basis using general anaesthesia. On average it will take 1-2 hours to complete. A compression garment will be applied after the procedure to minimise swelling, provide support and assist with contouring. After surgery you will remain in overnight for closer observation and once recovered satisfactorily will be allowed to return home with a friend or family member. Patients should be prepared to have 2-3 weeks off work to recover from a thigh lift procedure.
Dr Watts and his team are dedicated to providing ongoing care, support and guidance throughout your entire journey. They will be readily available to answer any further questions you may have to ensure a safe and smooth recovery. For more information please call our office to schedule a personal consultation with Dr Watts.
